Many have been wondering when the missing Spider-Man movies will be available on Disney+, and now some of them have finally made their way to the US version of the service.
As streaming barriers begin to crumble, several Sony-produced Spider-Man movies are beginning to appear on Disney’s streaming platform.
Movies currently in theaters include Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, and Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man. Release dates for the remaining titles in the collection, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, have yet to be determined.
When will Lone Survivor appear on Disney+? The best time to find out is not later.

When will Disney+ get the missing Spider-Man movies?
Even after several Spider-Man movies were added to the service, there are still five Disney+ adventures on the big screen.
According to a recent statement from Sony, “additional titles” will be added to the Disney+ catalog “later this year”, so the following blockbusters could be released in the future.
The first Amazing Spider-Man movie starring Andrew Garfield was one of the first Spider-Man movies accessible on Disney+, though The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is yet to come. Disney+ customers can’t wait to see Peter’s sequel again and Electro before Electro reappears in No Way Home.
While Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is considered one of the best comic book movies of all time, it’s not yet available on the service. It would make sense for Miles Morales’ big-screen debut to air soon on Disney+, tapping into the excitement surrounding the upcoming sequel (and throughout the Spider-verse).
When Venom debuted alongside other Spider-Man movies on the Disney streaming service after Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSMU) made his presence known there, many found it unexpected. However, with Venom Let There Be Carnage out of the picture, Tom Hardy’s symbiotic trilogy is far from over. A Disney+ release could make sense alongside another SSMU movie, Kraven, which is set to open later this year.
After the success of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, Quentin Beck (aka Mysterio), a villain, caught the eye of the friendly neighborhood teen hero in Far From Home, which sent him on a tour of Europe.
No Way Home, the third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland, is diversified by including heroes and antagonists from all three Spidey eras. Far From Home and No Way Home are more likely for a Disney+ release. Now Homecoming is officially available on the service and thanks to the franchise’s connection to the MCU.
Why is Disney missing these Spider-Man movies?
The fact that some of these Spider-Man movies (including Into the Spider-Verse and Venom) were joining Disney+ even 18 months ago was amazing.
This is because it would have been unusual for these characters to be in the service of Disney, as it did not control the rights to their on-screen distribution.
That’s all changed now that studios are more willing to share their stuff across corporate borders (for a fee, of course).
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies have always been an anomaly in this situation, offering special rights status because Sony still owns the movie rights to the character, even though recent movies of him have been part of the MCU.
Holland’s Spidey trilogy should have been a priority for House of Mouse as fans try to buy the entire Marvel Studios movie on Disney+. The studio needs to release two more movies after Homecoming to complete the streaming availability of the MCU saga.
Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Venom are currently streaming on Disney+, though not all of them.
