The following trailer for Kraven the Hunter is here, raising an important question: Does the film’s main character have superpowers?
This video has some great footage of Aaron Taylor Johnson’s character. There are also parts of Russell Crowe’s evil father, Ariana DeBose’s Calypso, A New Rhino, and other movies.
Fans worldwide are focused on the apparently magical force of the villain Spidey.

The Trailer Teases New Powers for Kraven the Hunter
Sony Pictures’ most recent trailer for Kraven the Hunter showed viewers that Kraven definitely has some enhanced abilities.
When the film first opens, Aaron Taylor-Johnson can be seen jumping out of a multi-story window, running down the road, grabbing a car, and opening the door.
Kraven appears to have improved strength and speed based just on that scene. He is jumping all over the place with elegance, therefore it is possible that he has excellent agility as well.
Then there is Kraven’s “connection with animals [that] he uses to track his prey,” a power that a goon alludes to in the voice-over.
However, how did he acquire all of these skills? Although it isn’t explicitly stated in the teaser, there is a strong implication that it has to do with the day a lion almost killed him.
The fact that Kraven’s eyes occasionally appear to be glowing in the trailer is another indication that he possesses otherworldly abilities.
What Are the Powers of Kraven?
Kraven the Hunter actually has supernatural abilities in the comics, even though he doesn’t seem like it at first.
When Sergei Gravinoff drinks an enchanted concoction from his love interest and partner Calypso, he gains enhanced abilities. These are said to have given Captain America more powerful abilities than those achieved with his super soldier serum.
New upgrades for him include health, strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, reflexes, and enhanced senses.
Other than that, he doesn’t have any exceptional abilities. Even so, his area of expertise is very broad.
The fearsome hunter is not only an expert with weapons, but also an accurate marksman, unstoppable at hunting and tracking, and capable of training virtually any animal.
Is Kraven as powerful as Spider-Man?
While the Spider-Man villain seems to have the same abilities in both iterations, the movie changes significantly.
For starters, Calypso, starring Ariana DeBose, doesn’t look like the Haitian voodoo witch she portrays in the books. She almost seems to run away after gaining Kraven’s powers, in which case her position in life would be very different.
Another hint is that Kraven’s traumatic near-death experience may have changed him in some way, setting up a series of events never depicted in the comics.
If that day ever comes, how well will Aaron Taylor Johnson’s Kraven fare against Spider-Man? It certainly looks like he can be with those superpowers.
After all, the villain from the comics could easily rival Peter Parker in strength. So if this theatrical interpretation of Tom Holland‘s character is anything like that, he may already be shaking in his boots.
Who knows if the paths of the two will ever cross?
On October 6, Kraven the Hunter debuts in theaters.
