Daredevil star Charlie Cox recently backtracked on comments he made about appearing in the MCU’s Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 could be one of the most successful solo films in MCU history, as it is the first project previously owned by 20th Century Fox to join the Marvel Studios narrative. While Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has already been confirmed to return for one final ride under the MCU umbrella, fans are speculating on who else from the Marvel universe could interact with the Merc with a Mouth.
Charlie Cox recently teased the possibility of his Daredevil appearing in this highly anticipated threequel, noting that the “tone” of Daredevil: Born Again could pair perfectly with the violent and bloody story Deadpool 3 will undoubtedly unleash.
But he’s since backtracked on those remarks, making it abundantly clear that nothing is currently in the works.

Charlie Cox Discusses His Deadpool 3 Appearance
Charlie Cox spoke with TechRadar about his comments about possibly playing Daredevilin Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3.
While he couldn’t recall exactly what he said, he did say that he’s “definitely not in Deadpool 3” right now:
“What was I saying again? Oh, I did say that in Germany, didn’t I? I can tell you right now that I will not be appearing in Deadpool 3.”
Despite the fact that Deadpool and Daredevil have collaborated on numerous occasions in the comics, Cox made it clear that he did not intend to tease anything that is definitively on the way. While he is enthusiastic about the idea, he does not want anyone to “end up being disappointed:”
“If it turns out to be true, I’ve unintentionally ruined something. If it isn’t, fans who are looking forward to something I say will be disappointed.”
When Will the Cast for Deadpool 3 Be Announced?
Despite the fact that he has a history with Deadpool and Daredevil, Charlie Cox made it clear that he has not yet been cast in Deadpool 3. With less than two years until its theatrical release, it will likely be a few months before any cast members are confirmed, though Cox and fans alike remain hopeful that he will have a role in the film.
If Daredevil appears in the threequel, it will be his second encounter with a fourth wall breaker in the MCU, following the development of his relationship with Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This would make for some hilarious interactions between the two heroes on its own, but having Wade Wilson in the MCU at all will bring nothing but hilarity as he interacts with Marvel’s best.
