Captain Marvel 2 from the MCU is expected to release its first trailer around the 2023 Super Bowl, according to rumors.
Captain Marvel 2 will be the next Marvel film to hit theatres without a trailer as of yet; Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in February and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in May both had at least one full-length promo.
A trailer for the July movie was presented to fans at the 2022 D23 convention, but strict no-filming laws prevented any information from the trailer from getting to the general public.
Jessica Angeles, who performs Brie Larson’s voice-dubbing, hinted at a probable trailer release in late January, piquing the interest of eager fans who couldn’t make it to the 2022 convention.
They might not have to wait too long to see the strange footage, according to new claims.

Will there be a Super Bowl ad for Captain Marvel 2?
According to Deadline, Disney may “potentially” use one of its many advertisements during this month’s Super Bowl to promote July’s The Marvels.
According to Deadline, Disney will release a number of projects in 2023. Marvel lacks public teasers or trailers like the majority of the films do. In fact, it is the only movie on Deadline’s list of contenders for Super Bowl spots, which also includes Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Little Mermaid, Elemental, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and The Marvels, that hasn’t had any kind of public footage released.
The publication of the first publicly available content from The Marvels would not come as a surprise to fans because Disney is a mainstay for the event’s movie marketing.
A Promo for a Big Audience
A strategically positioned TV ad during the game can draw a lot of attention to an intriguing movie, as Marvel discovered when they released the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser during the Super Bowl of the previous year.
Given that the marketing for the upcoming Ant-Man movie has received much attention lately, Disney would be wise to make the most of its advertising opportunity with a new teaser. Once that comes out, the focus will need to move to Guardians 3 and The Marvels, which will come out in the spring and summer, respectively, so having a teaser available would help generate excitement.
The Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania post-credits sequence may, however, have a bearing on the decision to add a trailer for The Marvels. The first trailer for Multiverse of Madness was featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which had the third Ant-Man movie as its second post-credit sequence.
The Marvels opens in theatres on July 28 and the Super Bowl is on Sunday, February 12th.
