In a recently released teaser, the controversial fan movie Spider-Man: Lotus showed off its version of the Green Goblin.
The film has been mired in controversy for more than a year after Lotus, the lead actor in Spider-Man: Lotus and the film’s developer used harsh racist language in private communications that were later made public online.
While many were very happy with the quality of the visual effects used in the fan-made Spider-Man movie, its release created a lot of embarrassment considering how much they love the web-slinger today.

Green Goblin Appears in Spider-Man Fan Movie Trailer
Spider-Man fan movie director Gavin J. Konob released a new trailer on his YouTube channel on Thursday, August 10, three weeks before Spider-Man: The Last Jedi opens to the public.
The Green Goblin played by John Salandrea is terrifying, and the non-CGI prosthetics and makeup used to bring him to life are highlights of the video.
Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland remember watching Goblin Clash on the big screen as the goblin engages in a fierce duel with the web-slinger.
The narrative also features enduring Spider-Man figures like Mary-Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy, evoking the character’s long history in Marvel Comics.

How will fans of Spider-Man: Lotus react?
The release of Spider-Man: Lotus will no doubt be a difficult topic for many fans, especially in light of the actions of those responsible for the making of the film.
Given the way Hollywood has dealt with past scandals from other companies, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if viewers shunned the movie because it was only distributed on YouTube.
As great as these visuals are for a fan-made film with a $25,000 budget, the ethics of it all leave everyone involved in a bitter slump.
On August 10, Spider-Man: Lotus will be available on YouTube.
