Following Moon Knight’s premiere on Disney+, a new rumor has hinted that a character could return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon.
Although Moon Knight successfully debuted in March 2022, a second season has yet to be confirmed, so the future of the show is still up in the air.
Oscar Isaac, a well-known actor, only agreed to play Mark Spector/Steven Grant for one season, though he said he “would love [to play him]” and “would love to see him again.”
While many other notable heroes and antagonists appear in Marvel’s adventures, Arthur Harrow actor Ethan Hawke has expressed uncertainty as to whether he will return for additional MCU episodes beyond Season 1.

Moon Knight star May Kalamavi is reportedly joining the cast of the upcoming Gladiator prequel, according to Deadline.
The source mentioned that Kalamawi’s Laila El-Fawli had a big role of her in Moon Knight and Marvel hopes to have big plans for her in the future.
Also, this comes after Lyla’s interpretation of the scarlet beetle was initially depicted in the pages of Marvel Comics.
When will the scarlet beetle from Moon Knight return?
The latest episode of Moon Knight included a key moment introducing Lyla as Scarlet Scarab and the MCU delivered a new take on the comic book hero with some notable changes on the small screen.
Considering how much Moon Knight has been hyped both in marketing materials and in his current run as an original MCU character in the comics, it’s no surprise to learn that Marvel has big plans for the Mayhem character in the future.
As his relationships with Mark Spector and Devi Taverett develop, he’ll no doubt be up for grabs to return, but there’s still no indication as to when production on Moon Night Season 2 will begin.
It’s challenging to consider other franchises where he might have a crossover moment; The next Avengers movies will have a simple option where the plot is already planned.
However, given the importance of this role to Kalamavi, he will be willing to take the Scarlet Beetle with him wherever he travels as his legacy grows.
