With a starring ensemble that includes a host of A-list celebrities, The Marvels will formally create history.
Fans previously had no question that the primary actors for an upcoming MCU film would either be wholly new characters or known faces that had previously appeared in other films.
Phase 4 altered that storyline, though, by adding characters who had previously only been seen in MCU Disney+ episodes.
There has only been a small number of names introduced up until this time.

The Marvels Cast Creates History on Disney+
Two of the top-billed lead actors made their MCU debuts in The Marvels, a Marvel Disney+ series, for the first time ever.
Iman Vellani, who plays Kamala Khan and had her MCU debut in 2022’s Ms. Marvel Disney+ series, and Teyonah Parris, who plays Monica Rambeau and made her MCU debut in 2021’s WandaVision, are the actors in question.
Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-Joon are also included on the list of top-billed lead actors.
Disney+ shows presented a number of characters in previous movies, but only one of those characters was given the primary billing.
For instance, the post-credits scene of the movie Black Widow included Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier introduced us to that figure. She played a significant part in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from Phase 4.
The characters Billy Maximoff, played by Julian Hilliard, and Tommy Maximoff, played by Jett Klyne, made their WandaVision debuts in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, was the main lead. In the Loki Disney+ series, He Who Remains, he made his MCU debut.
The future of the MCU will be significantly impacted by the Disney+ series.
For instance, Cosmo the Spacedog, who initially debuted in The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special on Disney+, will make a comeback in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
On May 3, 2024, Captain America: New World Order will have Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres and Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley in the key roles. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier introduced both of the characters. The new movie will also feature Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Louis-Dreyfus will be reprising her role as Val in Thunderbolts alongside Wyatt Russell’s US Agent. Similar to Louis-Dreyfus, Russell made his debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
MCU Movies Collaborating With Disney+
Many fans were curious about how the two would interact when Marvel Studios originally revealed that it would be expanding the MCU to include television shows.
The MCU only had feature films in Phases 1-3, but Phase 4 swiftly altered that when it included eight Disney+ programs.
It is nearly impossible to envision the franchise before the streaming series while looking back at Phase 4.
The foundation for the majority of the Phase 4 movies were built by the numerous elements and plot lines that Disney+ introduced. For instance, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would have appeared very differently without the WandaVision occurrences.
Marvel is making history by featuring two lead actors who were first introduced in the Disney+ series, making the importance of those storylines on the streaming service even more apparent.
The MCU may release a feature film in the upcoming years in which all of the leading actors first appeared in a television program.
It’s obvious that Marvel Studios will keep up the habit of treating Disney+ just like a movie theater.
Two distinct media haven’t harmed the MCU’s main plot in the least up until this time. In fact, technology has done the exact opposite and has aided in the development of stories that are more intricately interwoven.
