Disney and Marvel Studios have announced the official cast of The Marvels, revealing many of the artists fans can look forward to this coming November.
Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel sequel is the next MCU movie on the schedule. Following the breakout of last year’s 2019 prequel, The Marvels promises to further develop the character of Carol Danvers.
In addition to Larson reprising the title role of her, the film features a great cast of new and returning characters.
The Marvels Cast Has Been Confirmed
As part of the official profile of The Marvels, Disney has identified ten main actors.
1. Brie Larson – Captain Marvel
Brie Larson returns as Captain Marvel, the show’s leading lady and one of Marvel’s most powerful characters.
Avengers: Endgame and Miss. Carol Danvers returns for her own interstellar adventure after cameos in Marvel (causing power-switching shenanigans in this film). This time, she was not alone.

2. Teyonah Parris – Monica Rambeau
Deonna Paris returns as Monica Rambeau after appearing in 2021’s WandaVision, following Marvel’s strong debut in Phase 4.
Now having superpowers tied to her comic book moniker Photon, Rambeau will be a force to be reckoned with on The Marvels. Her interaction with Danvers will be fascinating to watch.
3. Iman Vellani – Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel on Disney+ is one of the best Marvel Studios has ever created. With a score of 98% from Rotten Tomatoes reviewers, it’s safe to assume that Iman Vellani’s debut as Kamala Khan was a hit.
Kamala is one of Marvel’s rising stars, the first character to appear in a solo series before helping direct the ensemble feature. It will be interesting to watch her role in the larger MCU, as the future for this mutant looks bright.
4. Zawe Ashton – Dar-Benn
Javeh Ashton makes his MCU debut as Dar-Ben, the Kree General and arch nemesis of The Marvels. Ironically, Ashton is engaged to Tom Hiddleston, who knows a thing or two about playing a Marvel villain.
Dar-Ben was a male character in the comics who overthrew the then-emperor of the Kree Empire, Glimsy Fowlup, with the help of his co-conspirator Ael-Dan (who may be replaced by the character Ty-Ron, played by Daniel ings).
5. Gary Lewis
Gary Lewis joins the cast of The Marvels in an uncredited appearance. With limited information on who Lewis might be playing and no clear trailer video, his role is open to interpretation.
6. Park Seo-Joon
Park Seo-Joon joins the cast of The Marvels in his MCU debut. His character is unclear, though a glimpse of him in the movie’s trailer could hint at who he’s playing.
According to the clip, Seo-Jun could represent Prince Yan or another form of royalty on the planet Aldana (or a world based on it).
7. Zenobia Shroff – Muneeba Khan
Zenobia Shroff will reprise her role as the mother of Kamala Khan. Muneepa’s ancestors, who were instrumental in Kamala’s path, are the reason why she fully developed her powers.
Expect an abbreviated segment on The Marvels mostly about where Kamala is transferred into space.
8. Mohan Kapur – Yusuf Khan
An MCU dad is back, but this time he’s not an evil planet or a wealthy businessman.
Mohan Kapoor reprises his role as Yusuf Khan as the strict, silent but loving father. He notes his reaction to Kamala leaping into space across the universe.
9. Saagar Shaikh – Aamir Khan
Kamala’s older brother, Aamir Khan, returns as a partner in The Marvels. The wedding of Sagar Shaikh’s character in the first season of Miss Marvel is one of the most important episodes and settings of the series.
10. Samuel L. Jackson – Nick Fury
Samuel l Jackson’s influence will be felt once again in The Marvels, extending his career within the MCU.
Fury, who runs the SABER station, plays a specific role at the beginning of the film before he ramps up the power-swapping action.
Fury’s story is currently being told on Disney+’s Secret Invasion. It’s unclear if the events of The Marvels will take place before or after the Skrull-filled series.
