Hulkling’s highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe casting may have been made public, and the character may make his or her debut in Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
Teddy Altman, better known as Hulkling, is a Skrull-Kree hybrid and one of the original members of the Young Avengers. Additionally, he is dating Billy Kaplan/Wiccan, who is Wanda Maximoff’s son.
Joe Locke allegedly played the role of a Wiccan in Kathryn Hahn’s upcoming Disney+ series, it was recently disclosed. The talented young actor, who is characterized as “a gay youngster with a wicked sense of humor,” is expected to have a significant role in the production.
What about his longtime comic book companion, though? Now that it’s become apparent, the young shape-shifting hero’s actor may be known to the entire world.

Did Hulkling Just Get Cast In the MCU?
Murphy’s Multiverse recently published a story that may contain crucial casting information for Agatha: Coven of Chaos
The outlet suggests that Miles Gutierrez-Riley might have been chosen to play Teddy Altman, commonly known as Hulkling, based on the data they have acquired. The Hollywood Reporter first announced the actor’s involvement on Friday.
A casting call for a gay actor between the ages of 18 and 20 who is “a gentle spirit… [with] a terrific sense of humor” was made back in October of 2022. Additionally, he is entirely and utterly in love with his guy. The character would also be physically fit, which is an understatement for someone like Hulkling.
Although Gutierrez-Riley falls outside of the age range, Murphy’s Multiverse noted that as these restrictions are only recommendations and not absolutes, it is sometimes acceptable to cast someone outside of them.
Hulking’s participation is almost a no-brainer given that the new Disney+ series appears to have already cast Billy and his Jewish parents.
While Billy and Teddy have not yet been formally confirmed by Marvel Studios, Locke and Gutierrez-Riley are certain to appear in Agatha.
Hulkling, the Obvious Casting Opportunity
It makes sense to introduce Teddy alongside Billy’s adult persona. The fact that it took this long for his likely casting to be discovered is actually more bizarre.
When it comes to representation in the MCU, Teddy’s introduction is also a crucial move. It’s a component Marvel Studios has probably been wanting to include for a while.
It doesn’t appear that Teddy’s royal heritage will be a focus of the character’s appearance in the MCU, as Murphy’s Multiverse noted. Secret Invasion would be the ideal time for him to make his debut because he is closely related to the Skrulls in the comics, but there haven’t even been rumors of it.
So when precisely will Agatha: Coven of Chaos be available to the public? Originally, it might have happened as soon as this year’s end.
Sadly, recent rumors seem to suggest that the show may be postponed all the way to early 2025. That’s a significant pushback considering that production has already begun.
I’m hoping that everything is going smoothly behind the scenes and Marvel Studios just needs a little more time to make sure everything is perfect.
