The Avengers 6: Secret Wars Return of Tobey Maguire Bringing New Comments To The Cameo

Tobey Maguire’s latest remarks from Spider-Man: No Way Home sparked new rumors about the actor’s likely appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars.

The original web-slinger expressed no interest in donning the mask once more after Maguire’s appearance in the MCU Spidey threequel.

While the actor’s most recent remarks are more proof that he might appear in Avengers 6, jobs in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (especially Beyond the Spider-Verse) are still a possibility.

Tobey Maguire Would Agree to More Spider-Man

After participating in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tobey Maguire voiced his desire to carry on portraying Spider-Man in interviews with Marvel, stating, “why wouldn’t I want to do that?”

Maguire claims that he enjoys “these flicks” and “all of the different series,” and that he would say “yes!” if asked to take on a Spider-Man role.

“I adore both these movies and every single series. If these guys called and asked, “Would you come to hang out and have fun tonight?” It would be “yes!” if asked, “Would you come up to do this movie, read a scene, or do a Spider-Man thing?” Why wouldn’t I want to do that, then?”

According to speculations that surfaced in the latter part of last year, Marvel Studios is trying to cast as many Multiversal “big hitters” as they can for Avengers: Secret Wars, including “Tobey Maguire’s [Spidey] and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.”

Naturally, Maguire’s latest remarks triggered a flurry of responses and conjecture on how specifically his web-head may appear in Secret Wars:

@sikohijj, a Twitter user, is pleading for the following:

“Please team up him [Maguire] and Hugh Jackman in ‘Secret Wars”

Maguire will make his subsequent appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars, according to Twitter user @kyuto z, who wrote:

He will appear in “Secret Wars,” I hope, as evidenced by words like these.

Another Tweet from a supporter conjectured that Tobey Maguire’s Spidey and Eric Bana’s Hulk are actually “on the same earth,” enabling them to share the screen in Avengers 6: Infinity War.

“I’ve wanted a movie starring Eric Bana’s Hulk ever since I was a child. They shared the same earth, in my opinion. It’d be awesome to see them collaborate on “Secret Wars.”

Another supporter posted: “I’m confident in Maguire’s Secret Wars appearance.”

“No way is he making another solo movie. But perhaps he will appear in “Secret Wars”

@the3rdjp tweeted the following in support of this vote of confidence:

“Secret Wars,” Maguire. I’ll see you there.”

Maguire isn’t the only star who fans are hoping to be in the 2026 movie, though.

Hugh Jackman’s and Robert Downey Jr.’s Secret Wars roles as well as Jonathan Major’s Kang were mentioned on Twitter by @GameSetMatchSly.

“In SW, RDJ, Hugh, and Tobey are facing Kang.

It remains to be known if Maguire will appear in the future Avengers movie or in something else entirely.

Fans are aware of the person who can fulfill the fantasies of the Maguire and Marvel audience, as @Angelduster44 said in a tweet:

You two know what to do, “@Sony @MarvelStudios”

Is Maguire involved in MCU projects like Avengers 6?

The actor claimed to be a fan of “these films” and “all of the other series,” even though he didn’t specifically mention Marvel Studios or make any mention of Avengers: Secret Wars in his remarks. It’s important to note that the actor is speaking to Marvel in this interview.

On Disney+, the MCU includes an expanding number of series. Sony does not, nor does its Spider-Man Universe.

The next and most apparent option for where he might appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, as it is a Multiversal plot encompassing various timelines or realities.

If those allegations are accurate, Tobey Maguire may already be committed to Avengers 6 by Marvel Studios and Sony.

The real query, however, is if Maguire has already agreed to anything.

The actor did make mention of his desire to “show up to do this movie” or to “read a part,” despite the fact that the shared Spider-Man connection between Sony and Marvel Studios frequently makes these opportunities more difficult.

Could it be that he has already?

Time will tell for the time being. Maguire’s desire to keep playing Spider-Man, though, is great news for fans of the character and hints that this won’t be his final appearance as the web-slinger.
