Iman Vellani, who plays the role of Ms. Marvel, recently brought up Harry Styles, who is now formally a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thanks to his appearance as Starfox in Eternals.
When Styles officially assumed the role of Starfox/Eros in the post-credits scene from 2021’s Eternals, it was one of the biggest surprises in the entirety of Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 schedule. Styles now portrays a complex Marvel character that might be significant in the Eternals’ upcoming stories in only his second big-screen appearance of his young acting career after a lengthy run in the music business.
Although the timing of Eros’ return after his appearance in Eternals is currently unknown, his mere presence in the MCU only increases the already impressive star power that the franchise continues to attract yearly.
But Styles stands out as a special edition, influencing some of the MCU’s younger stars by virtue of his association with the Marvel cast.

Star of Ms. Marvel Talks About Harry Styles’ MCU Opening
Iman Vellani, the star of Captain Marvel 2 and Eros in Marvel Studios’ Eternals, discussed her feelings about Harry Styles joining the MCU in an interview with AP Entertainment.
Vellani expresses her desire for Marvel to incorporate Eros/Starfox into subsequent films instead of simply introducing him for the sake of doing so, noting that she finds the situation to be “so weird.” Additionally, she sees some potential chaos developing from “all of the Harry Styles fandom” if his persona appears in additional films and projects:
“I feel so strange about it, oh my! I’m not sure. It’s peculiar. I genuinely wonder if they’ll actually use the character or if they were just teasing it for publicity’s sake because I am aware of Chloe Zhao’s devotion to Harry Styles. How chaotic would that be, though, with all the Harry Styles fans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?”
Could There Be an Eternals Crossover in Captain Marvel 2?
Iman Vellani is well known for being one of the biggest fans of the MCU outside of her role as Ms. Marvel in the MCU, as she has demonstrated on numerous occasions over the past couple of years. Vellani can always be relied upon for a great off-screen MCU moment or quote, whether it be her expressing her disgust for Black Bolt’s death in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness or dressing up as Iron Man for Halloween.
Vellani, a young actress who also sees a lot of potential in Harry Styles, admits that she finds it strange that the pop star-turned-actor enters the narrative before she made her acting debut. More than anything, she seems to hope that Chloé Zhao’s portrayal of Eros won’t be a one-off and that he’ll have a bigger part to play in future tales when the Eternals make their way back into the fold.
Even though Eternals 2 probably won’t start filming for a while, Vellani’s Kamala Khan and the Eternals should both be significant figures in the MCU’s future going forward, especially with two more Avengers movies on the way. I’m hoping Harry Styles will soon find his own way back into the story with them.
