Following a brief cameo in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailers in December, new photographs provided fans with a closer look at Will Poulter’s debut as Adam Warlock.
Adam Warlock has been a long time coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having initially been hinted at in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
And the gold-skinned Marvel hero appears to be just getting started, with Poulter intending to “continue on a journey” with his MCU character in Guardians 3. While this may be the end of the current Guardians squad, fans are eager to see what the threequel has in store for this new extraterrestrial figure.
After a series of hints, fans may finally scrutinize every detail of Adam Warlock’s MCU appearance.

New Photos Showing Adam Warlock
Empire Magazine has released the first official full-body photographs of Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Will Poulter’s interplanetary hero is depicted wearing god-like armor, similar to what Thor or Loki would wear in the MCU.
His gleaming gold skin and silver tunic are accented by a vivid red cape, which Marvel Comics fans will remember from the character’s illustrious comic book past.
While the style isn’t straight from the pages of a comic book, there are a few nods to the original material. Aside from the crimson cape, Poulter’s hero is distinguished by the jewel placed on his brow. While it is unlikely to be the Soul Stone as in the comic, the Jewel is still present.
The skull on the neckline and a visible belt buckle are two further comic book accents in the design (although the movie one is significantly toned down).
The Warlock’s Costume Shines Ahead of the MCU Premiere
It’s always fascinating to see a new hero’s costume or a returning favorite’s new look in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And Adam Warlock is no exception.
The fan-favorite comic book character has been a pivotal figure in numerous great Marvel events, including the first Infinity Gauntlet run, for a long time.
And now viewers may examine every detail of Will Poulter’s character. While he may not quite resemble his comic book counterpart, there are enough similarities to make this a worthwhile adaptation.
This comes after speculation about the character’s on-screen appearance suggested that his MCU suit will be a substantial divergence from the source material.
Yes, Will Poulter’s golden thighs aren’t being flaunted like a prize-winning pumpkin pie, but it feels like a fitting tribute to the character. It’s a powerful god-like appearance that nevertheless seems unmistakably Adam Warlock.
So, yeah, he doesn’t have the brilliant red unitard and platinum championship belt, but there are references to practically every iconic comic costume piece.
