This Marvel actor finally expressed his feelings about dressing up as Agent 007. His name had been mentioned in discussions regarding who might be the next James Bond.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who portrayed Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron, is just one of several actors that have maybe been linked to the role of the most well-known secret agent ever to appear on the screen.
The Broccoli family, the guardians of the James Bond franchise, and MGM are on a mission to discover the next 007 after Daniel Craig’s portrayal of the character ended in No Time to Die.
Contrary to what some online discussions may claim, no information about the search has been made public. Nothing is official, but Aaron Taylor-Johnson, John Boyega, and Regé-Jean Page are still candidates for the role that will launch their careers.

About James Bond rumors, Aaron Taylor Johnson
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who starred in Kraven, finally spoke out following months of speculations linking him to the upcoming James Bond production.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Taylor-Johnson referred to the rumors as “flattering.” Despite all the words, he advised staying grounded and refusing to “[accept] the stuff people say about you:”
“It’s endearing. You can have something very favorable written about you, but you might also have something very unfavorable that spreads. You simply want to be grounded, in your own world, and surrounded by the people you love and who also love you. You’ve lost your fucking mind the moment you start believing the crap people say about you, after all. You’ve gone crazy.”
Taylor-Johnson was the undisputed front-runner for the position after meeting the Broccoli family, according to a story from last fall.
Regé-Jean Page, who plays Bond in the television series Bridgerton, responded to the possibility of him playing the role diplomatically. The page also remarked to Vanity Fair that “it’s incredibly flattering” to merely participate in the discussion:
“People are talking about it, and it is quite flattering that they are. I let them handle it.”
Page responded, “I [had] no idea,” when asked if he would do it. He currently has “plenty on [his] plate:”
“I am clueless. It isn’t anything that is taking up all of my thoughts. I already have too much on my plate. I focus on the work I have at hand rather than the jobs of others.”
The Next James Bond actor will be
The subject of who will play James Bond next feels like it will be hard to answer at this time.
Taylor-Johnson is currently the overwhelming favorite, but the decision-makers have remained mum. Fans do, however, have their first indications as to when they might learn who will play the debonaire legend.
Supervisor of all things Bond Barbara Broccoli stated in June of last year (via TimeOut) that they were “working out where to go with him.” There [wasn’t] a script, and filming is at least two years away, she said at the time.
“Nobody is a contender. We’re discussing where to go with him as we figure that out. Since it’s essentially a reinvention of Bond, there isn’t a script and we won’t be able to write one until we know how we’re going to approach the next movie. It will take time as we redefine who he is. Filming won’t start for at least two years, in my opinion.”
The world will most certainly get its next James Bond by the end of 2023 since production might begin starting in 2019.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been identified as the character, with a hint that “a small trailer” introducing him can be anticipated in “March/April 2023,” according to an insider (who has a flair for breaking this kind of stuff), even though nothing has been formally confirmed.
The 007 mantle is still up for grabs as it heads to Bond 26, so for the time being, all the fans can do is wait.
