According to Marvel Studios, Jonathan Majors will play a significant role in Loki season 2, confirming his return to action.
Jonathan Majors made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in season 1 of Loki as the He Who Remains version of Kong the Conqueror. Conqueror appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania.
But Majors was arrested for assault on March 26, more than a month after Quantummania debuted in theaters.
Many viewers were immediately curious about Majors’ future involvement in the MCU and even speculated that his role would be replaced. Loki’s promotional materials include the actor, and given that he’s already finished filming season 2, it seems likely that he’ll star in at least the Disney+ series.
Jonathan Majors’ Season 2 Loki ‘Big’ Role
The extent of Jonathan Majors‘ involvement in the future Disney+ production was discussed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly by Loki season two executive producer Kevin Wright.
Wright began by talking about Majors’ character, Victor Timely (the Kong the Conqueror variant), and how “excited” he and the other Marvel Studios staff are about Timely’s inclusion in Loki: Sword of the Gods.
In fact, we are delighted with who Victor Timely is. Kong has a very funny comedic past, which is evident when you watch him. He has gone through all these changes.
The executive producer said that Majors’ character “will be a big part of the show,” making it clear that Majors himself will be featured, despite his ongoing assault case and ongoing controversies in real life:
“Punctuality is one of the things we’ve always wanted to do at Loki.” And I’m sure we’re very interested in how that fits into the season. He plays an important role in the project.

What role does Jonathan Majors play in Loki?
At the latest estimate, Jonathan Majors Loki will appear in three of the six episodes of Season 2, so viewers should expect to see him more often.
In addition to Victor Timely, Majors could easily play additional Kong variants in Season 2.
Since Kong is expected to be the MCU’s main antagonist going forward, it would make sense for him (and/or variants of him) to have a “bigger” relationship with Loki.
Only time will tell, but this could be a significant amount of screen time for Marvel Studios to use the actor.
The second season of Loki will debut on Disney+ on Friday, October 6.
