A new rumor suggests that Loki season 2 may not air on Disney+ as soon as fans expect it to.
The second season of the show was previously scheduled to premiere this summer. Actor Owen Wilson, who plays Loki, told Variety that he expects the release “in late summer or September.”
However, viewing conditions have now radically changed.
One such development is the recent writers’ strike that is hurting the entire entertainment industry. Another is the scandal surrounding Jonathan Majors accused of assault.

When will Disney+ Loki season 2 premiere?
Cosmic Circus is reporting that season 2 of Marvel Studios’ Loki could air later than expected, according to their sources.
It was previously believed that the series would focus on September, but according to the site, that was moved to October due to a number of unidentified changes in the atmosphere of the entertainment sector.
At one point, Marvel reportedly considered moving Tom Hiddleston’s show to an unspecified date in the future but ultimately decided that October was still a sure thing.
Marvel Studios has not provided a statement or confirmation.
Is Loki going to be delayed?
One of the changes that may affect the release of Loki is the recently started writers’ strike that is hurting the entire entertainment industry. Marvel may want to release all of their finished projects so viewers don’t experience a shortage of content.
Naturally, there is also the case of Jonathan Majors, charged with assault. It’s unlikely that any footage of him will be reshot, but depending on how Majors’ experience goes, the production company may want to know how to use Majors’ likeness in the future.
Marvel could be using timing, the exact idea the show is based on, to cause delays. Marvel will try to produce the best final product possible, whether that means editing aspects of the story to perfection or improving the visual effects.
