The Hollywood Trade shared an update on the Disney+ launch of Loki Season 2 as part of Variety’s latest story on Jonathan Majors’ alleged ongoing abuse lawsuit.

According to the source, after a series of changes, the second season of Loki is expected to air on Disney+ in mid-2023. Secret Invasion, a six-episode event, will likely end on July 26 and will be the next Disney+. series. From Marvel Studios.

Actor Owen Wilson, who plays Mobius, recently stated that he expects the second season to premiere “late summer or September.” Meanwhile, insider KC Walsh confirmed that he learned of a plot to free Loki in September.

The actor is rumored to return when other Kang variants appear, including 20th-century genius Victor Timely, who was hinted at in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Majors’ scenes for the long-running Loki sequel.

Although there has been “time to move deliberately,” Variety claimed that Disney is “monitoring” the problem as it gradually worsens. This is especially true given that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty won’t start production until spring 2024.

Why The Jonathan Majors Controversy Won’t Affect Loki In Season 2

Kang, played by Jonathan Majors, is rumored to have a bigger role in Loki season 2 than season 1, progressing to at least three episodes instead of his role at the end of an episode in The Rookie Outing. This time, the actor will reportedly bring several variants of Kang to life as part of this.

According to legend, Loki and Mobius are on a mission to find the Kang variants across the multiverse in order to “draw a map and find out how long they hold up over time.” These variants will include the fearsome Victor Timely from Ant-Man 3, who seems to have an interesting role in season 2.

Perhaps the bigger companies need to be more prominent in marketing because the Avengers villain is expected to play a major role in the turning point of the season. If the actor can’t put an end to this controversy and finally prove his innocence in court on May 8, it clearly won’t be an easy task.

According to the latest update, Marvel Studios is currently “discussing options” with the Majors as the situation develops. However, a recent rumor had it that if the situation deteriorated to the point where a recast was necessary, the studio might look for an actor in the Damson Idris mold to replace Kang.

Majors is said to have a major role in Loki season 2, and since filming has already begun, it’s virtually impossible to reshoot his scenes with a new actor. This indicates that the chance of delay is low as the season seems to be in good shape and will most likely launch in August or September.

Marvel Studios’ Phase 5 schedule has been under constant review as a result of the criticism Phase 4 has received. Secret Invasion and Loki Season 2 are the only two projects that have not undergone minor changes over this time.
