An important link between Captain America 4 and the venerable Marvel mutant Wolverine was recently revealed by a new report.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and company appear to be gradually sprinkling X-gene-centric breadcrumbs throughout their superhero universe as fans eagerly await the debut of the MCU’s take on the X-Men.
The X-Men reboot appears to be years away at this time because “the contractual situation with the original Fox stuff” is said to be “in effect until 2025.” However, they will still prepare for the mutant emergence in the MCU.
And it turns out that these X-Men Easter eggs will be nothing new for Captain America: New World Order, as it appears to have an important connection to one of Marvel’s most well-known mutants.

Captain America 4’s Wolverine Connection
According to a recent report, Wolverine from the X-Men will play a significant role in the plot of Captain America: New World Order.
Captain America 4 is about “an international conflict over a new metal called Adamantium,” claims renowned insider Daniel Richtman. Fans may recognize the fictitious metal because it coats Wolverine’s bones and infamous claws in the comic books.
According to Richtman, the metal will be found on Tiamut Island, the calcified Celestial seen in the Eternals’ final act in 2021. With “every country [wanting] a piece of that new metal,” the island will play a crucial role in the movie’s plot.

This development is noteworthy because it will be the MCU’s second appearance of the frozen cosmic giant. In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the fossilized colossus made a brief appearance as an Easter Egg on a fictional online news source.
However, it appears that this will be the first time since Eternals that it is pertinent to the larger Marvel Studios canon.
The MCU: What Does Adamantium Mean?
It’s certainly exciting news for Marvel Comics fans to learn that Adamantium will eventually appear in the MCU.
Marvel Studios was unable to use Adamantium because Fox held the film rights to both the X-Men and the rare metal. This compelled the titan of Hollywood to get inventive with some of their on-screen narratives, such as changing Captain America’s shield from being made of Adamantium as it is on the comic page to one made of vibranium.
Although it is doubtful (though not impossible) that Wolverine will make an appearance in the upcoming Captain America sequel, it might be the first step toward the character’s eagerly anticipated debut.
Additionally, this Adamantium introduction might contribute to the development of Captain America’s persona in the future. Sam Wilson may finally obtain an Adamantium shield, just like Cap does in the comic books, now that he has assumed the mantle.
