In Spider-Man 4, Every MCU Character Is Likely To Appear.

Which MCU characters will join Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the No Way Home sequel when Spider-Man 4 is released?

With the release of No Way Home, the MCU’s “Homecoming” trilogy of Spider-Man stories came to a close. In his fourth film, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will move down to street level, ushering in a new era.

Spider-Man 4 is currently in development by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, though recent progress has been put on hold due to the writers’ strike.

The movie’s release date hasn’t been confirmed, but many believed it could happen on June 27, 2025, after Sony made time for the untitled Marvel movie.

Spider-Man 4 Cast

1. Spider-Man

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

It wouldn’t be Spider-Man 4 without the return of the MCU’s Peter Parker, which is why Tom Holland will be back for the next film.

The film aims to send the wall-crawler on a new adventure as the street hero, now that the rest of the world, including his teammates, has forgotten who followed the events of No Way Home.

2. Michelle Jones

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

One of today’s hottest young talents, Zendaya is set to reprise her role as Peter’s love interest, Michelle Jones (MJ), in Spider-Man 4.

The script for No Way Home mentions a “flicker of déjà vu” in her final conversation with Peter, indicating that her memories of him have not completely disappeared.

3. Ned Leeds

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Ned Leeds actor Jacob Badalon may have said he wasn’t optimistic about Spider-Man 4, but it’s hard to imagine him not returning.

After all, even after he finished No Way Home, he was still friends with MJ and even went to MIT with her. Additionally, Badalon has previously hinted at a villain story in the making for him.

4. J. Jonah Jameson

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

J.K. J in Far From Home. Simmons said he signed on for future films after his surprise return as Jonah Jameson, noting that he wanted to do more after No Way Home.

As a result, the editor-in-chief of The Daily Bugle will reprise his role as Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis.

5. Daredevil

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

While Spider-Man 4 is known to be a street affair, there is speculation that the film will take place after the events of Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again.

Fans were treated to a legitimate Daredevil vs. Spider-Man crossover in No Way Home, so here’s hoping Charlie Cox’s hero gets the right break this time.

6. Kingpin

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Speaking of being reborn, Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays the Kingpin, is looking forward to taking on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

Wilson Fisk’s mayoral campaign and anti-vigilante agenda in the Daredevil revival could reportedly influence Spider-Man 4, perhaps paving the way for that story to continue on the big screen.

7. Betty Brant

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Betty Brand, played by Angourie Rice, has been a critical member of Spider-Man’s supporting cast in the previous three movies, so it’s easy to imagine her coming back.

The brand’s prospects have been boosted by her appearance in a notable segment of No Way Home’s marketing campaign via pieces of the Daily Bugle: She Now She’s in Formation.

8. Flash Thompson

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Flash Thompson, played by Tony Revolori, seems to be an option for Spider-Man 4 and the actor has expressed his desire to return.

The only challenge may be that Peter Parker graduated high school and everyone forgot about him. It’s hard to imagine him going back to his former bully anytime soon.

9. Happy Hogan

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Created by Jon Favreau, Happy Hogan finds his new role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Spider-Man’s best friend and Tony Stark’s go-between.

He may not have a place in Spider-Man 4 because Happy’s love interest Aunt May passed away and Peter is leaving behind his Iron Man history and becoming a street hero.

10. Venom

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Eddie Brock is no longer in the MCU following the Venom symbiote post-credits sequence.

On the other hand, Venom won’t be the focus of Spider-Man 4, saving the plot involving the black suit for a later movie.

11. Tombstone

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

If the Kingpin does show up in Spider-Man 4, he could play a role similar to what he did as Wilson Fisk’s friend in Into the Spider-Verse.

However, the antagonist’s chances of appearing in the MCU are remote, although he is being considered for Sony’s El Muerto solo film.

12. Hammerhead

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

There are several reasons why Hammerhead is involved in Spider-Man 4 at street level, with the antagonist being a gangster mobster who, like Tombstone, had most of his skull replaced with steel after an accident.

Hammerhead has the ability to make connections with the Kingpin and is a major threat in a crime-based conspiracy.

13. Scorpion

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

It’s been six years since Scorpion was mentioned in Spider-Man: Homecoming when Michael Mando’s Mac Gargano sought revenge against the wall-crawler.

To this day, the mockery has not been fulfilled; Spider-Man 4 could be the next unresolved cliffhanger that Marvel Studios finally resolves.

14. Black Cat

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

When Peter Parker comes down to street level after MJ loses all memories of him, it’s the perfect opportunity for Spider-Man and the Black Cat to meet.

The former cat burglar turned anti-hero can be compared to Spider-Man’s Batman in many ways, and the two often develop a romantic relationship.

The time may be right for Peter Parker to find a new love interest, and Gwen Stacey may do the same with Black Cat.

Perhaps the biggest hurdle to her entry into the MCU is that Sony wants to pair Stacey with Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker, given their romance in the animated Spider-Verse.

16. Harry Osborn

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

With Ned out of the picture, Peter may also need a new best friend, making way for Harry Osborn, and possibly a new love interest.

However, No Way Home doesn’t appear to have Spider-Man’s family of villains in the MCU, so their involvement is ruled out.

17. Miles Morales

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Miles Morales’ popularity has skyrocketed in recent years, and Sony is considering a live-action production starring an alternate Spider-Man.

Maybe it’s time to meet Peter Miles, since his uncle Aaron Davis or Prowler, played by Donald Glover in the MCU, has already been introduced.

18. Johnny Storm

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

While no actor has yet been cast to play the Fantastic Four hero, Spider-Man and the Human Torch have a history of friendship in the Marvel comics that the MCU will finally get a chance to explore in live action.

Perhaps while in college, Peter Parker and Johnny Storm cross paths and form a heroic alliance.

19. The MCU’s Street Heroes

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

Spider-Man 4 is rumored to be teaming up with Daredevil, so other MCU street heroes who knew crime boss Vincent D’Onofrio may appear.

Spider-Man can team up with the likes of Echo, Kate Bishop, and the Punisher to exact revenge on the Kingpin.

20. Sony’s Spider-Man Universe

Spider-Man 4
Marvel

The Spider-Man spin-off world features characters like Venom, Morbius, Vulture, Kraven, and Madame Web, who could eventually cross paths with the wall-crawler, according to a trailer for Sony’s project.

I’m not sure who Spider-Man is, but if Tom Holland is the target, the studio might try dropping references to that crossover in the next trilogy, starting with Spider-Man 4.
