In Ant-Man 3, Kevin Feige Discloses Janet’s Big Secret.

Recently, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Michelle Pfeiffer’s character’s significant MCU secret were revealed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

In the next threequel, Janet Van Dyne played by Pfeiffer is speculated to be keeping something from the larger Ant-Man family. And that tiny piece of information has fans in a frenzy, making wild guesses about what it might be.

The Quantumianism actress has already discussed the mystery behind Marvel Studios, telling Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that the entire process is “secret.”

The curtain has been lifted a little bit earlier for those who want to learn as much as they can about Marvel’s most recent big-screen venture, but this latest secret feels a little different.

Quantum Secret Uncovered by Janet Van Dyne

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, gave details about Janet Van Dyne’s past in the Quantum Realm as Ant-Man 3‘s heroes entered there.

The Marvel character portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer is a “quite well-known, extremely powerful freedom warrior” in the Microverse, according to Feige in an interview with Empire:

The story revolves around how these five family members deal with their surroundings and the realization that their mother or grandma is a very, very well-known, very strong freedom fighter in the Quantum Realm. which, until they arrived down there, none of them were aware of.

The Ant-Man family is ignorant of the “extremely rich history” that Pfeiffer’s MCU character has with the evil Kang the Conqueror from her time in the Quantum Realm, according to Pfeiffer herself:

She does have an extensive history and unresolved difficulties with Kang. A person can transform in the quantum realm, where you can also live an entirely other life. She hasn’t wanted to become involved with it.

The movie’s screenwriter, Jeff Loveness, continued by calling the Quantum Realm a “fun world” and drawing comparisons to the imagery of “Jodorowsky’s [overly ambitious] Dune” adaptation:

“It’s a good time there. It is a place of unending creation, diversity, and alien life. It’s “Dune” by Jodorowsky inside of Marvel.”

Exactly what is Janet Van Dyne concealing?

Even though Kevin Feige and Michelle Pfeiffer provided some background information regarding Janet Van Dyne’s Quantic past, there is still a lot for Quantumania to divulge when it hits cinemas in less than a month.

When discussing the Ant-Man threequel, this discussion of liberation fighters from the Quantum Realm is starting to emerge as a recurring theme. The Good Place actor William Jackson Harper would be portraying a similar revolutionary character in the Quantum Realm, according to the same Empire piece.

Could Pfeiffer’s MCU character have organized a failed uprising or revolution inside the Microverse? That appears to have been the case.

And it’s safe to say that Kang the Conqueror, the head of the government they appeared to be seeking to overthrow, will not be overly pleased to see Mrs. Van Dyne back in his kingdom.

Many people believed that when Pfeiffer earlier alluded to a “darker” plot for Quantumania, she was alluding to the potential demise of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang (aka Ant-Man). Perhaps she was alluding to the death of her own character at the hands of Major’s MCU antagonist.
