In 2024 and beyond, all Chris Hemsworth movies are scheduled to be released

Here are five new movies and TV shows starring Chris Hemsworth in early 2023.

1. Furiosa

Anya Taylor-Joy stars as Furiosa from The Super Mario Bros., the prequel to the 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, which stars Chris Hemsworth as an offbeat villain.

The Australian actor plays the fearsome Warlord Dementus, a bearded biker boss who will cause trouble for Taylor-Joy’s young Imperator Furiosa once he shows up there.

2. Transformers One

Hemsworth joins Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, and Laurence Fishburne as his four Marvel Studios co-stars. In Transformers One, Hemsworth will voice the legendary Autobot commander Optimus Prime.

Hemsworth replaces the late Peter Cullen in this prequel to Michael Bay’s first Transformers movie from 2007, as the younger Optimus who leads the opening fight on Cybertron.

3. Extraction 3

Chris Hemsworth played the role of Tyler Rack in the 2020 film Extraction alongside Joe and Anthony Russo and the 2023 sequel Extraction 2. The development was confirmed a day after its predecessor Extraction 3 premiered on Netflix.

Hemsworth is confirmed to make a third appearance as an underground mercenary and former Australian special agent, though no specific information has been released about the plot of this upcoming film.

4. Hulk Hogan Biopic

Chris Hemsworth and Todd Phillips will collaborate on a biopic of legendary WWF and WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan, originally announced for a possible 2019 Netflix release.

Hemsworth will play Hulk Hogan in the film, wearing one of the most iconic masks in 1980s pro wrestling, even more so than he did for the MCU, though there haven’t been many updates on the progress.

5. What If…? Season 2

Hemsworth will reportedly return to the MCU’s voice studio for a second time, Thor, The God of Thunder, Season 2’s What If…? On Disney +, his presence has yet to be officially confirmed.

As the Guardian of the Multiverse, he played a notable supporting role in Season 1, but after bringing Thor’s hilarious party to life in Episode 7, it’s unclear what new adventures he might have if he returns in Season 2.
