When asked about reprising her role as Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Hawkeye series, Hailee Steinfeld’s answer was one word.
When Kate Bishop obtained Clint Barton’s old Ronin costume from Bleep, she was able to sneak it into his mission on Hawkeye starting in 2021.
The two eventually came to trust each other over the course of the show’s six episodes, becoming friends and partners. Clint even invites Kate to spend Christmas with the Bartons. However, Kate hasn’t been in the MCU since Hawkeye, and it hasn’t been announced that she’ll appear in any other movies.

Hailee Steinfeld at Kate Bishop’s rehab
Hailee Steinfeld responded with one word when asked if she would return to Marvel’s Hawkeye series of films as Kate Bishop.
Clint Barton’s old Ronin outfit, acquired by Blip’s Kate Bishop, has allowed Hawkeye to spy on his mission starting in 2021.
Over the course of the show’s six episodes, the two begin to trust each other and eventually become friends and partners. Even better, Clint extends Kate’s invitation to spend Christmas with the Barton clan. While it’s not confirmed that Kate will appear in any other movies, she hasn’t been in the MCU since Hawkeye.
Additionally, he sent out a rather cryptic tweet in November of last year, which some people saw as confirmation of more of a hook. However, this was never followed up, so it is possible to assume that Steinfeld was referring to a different mission.
How Steinfeld’s MCU superhero could mesh with his other Marvel character, Gwen Stacy from Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, was another question ET asked him. She responded by saying that Gwen and Kate have “a lot of similarities.”
“Do you realize that anything is possible? I wonder how they will get along. They are quite similar to each other, in my opinion. They are fiercely independent, intelligent, canonical young women with strong opinions, experts in their fields, and capable of assuming almost anything so I think they will work just fine.
Where could Kate Bishop appear next?
Of course, it’s impossible to predict where the plucky young archer will appear in the MCU. It was once said that Kate would serve as the leader of the Young Avengers in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but that obviously didn’t happen and presumably isn’t there either.
Fans then speculated that Kate would appear in Ms. Marvel after a credit slip, but that didn’t happen either.
Avengers: Kang Dynasty might be the best fit for Kate right now. Due to serious injuries suffered by Jeremy Renner last winter, a second season of Hawk seems unlikely in the near future. However, the actor has been in great recovery, so anything is possible.
Given her growing bond, Kate could appear in the 2024 film Thunderbolts, where Florence Pugh will play Yelena Belova. However, this has yet to be confirmed.
While Kate Bishop’s fate may not be entirely clear, Hawkeye, who is currently available on Disney+, is showing off his first adventure.
