Marvel Studios has released a gorgeous new series of posters that highlight the key characters in Guardians 3.
The road to James Gunn’s newest (and presumably final) MCU adventure is becoming shorter, so the Guardians marketing engine has been cranked up to full speed.
When some of the characters that helped make the Guardians franchise what it is moving on, Vol. 3 signifies the “end of an era” for this particular group of superheroes in Marvel’s super-powered cosmos.
Marvel is therefore going all out to mark the conclusion of this Guardians era by releasing a plethora of posters, trailers, and sneak peeks from the newest intergalactic epic.

Character Posters for Guardians 3 revealed
James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on May 5, and Marvel Studios has published a series of cosmic character posters featuring the film’s large cast.
With pictures of the cosmos superimposed on top of each Guardian striking a different attitude, each of the nine Guardians received their own poster.
The series’ star, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, may be seen playing music on his Zune MP3 player, which is essential to the film’s huge soundtrack.
On his poster, Rocket Raccoon gets up and personal while brandishing his distinctive double-barrel rifle cannon.
The newly coined “swole Groot” looks inquisitive in a classic Groot manner as he peers directly into the camera.
Drax, played by Dave Bautista, is seen in what may be the final character poster for the Guardians with mouth open and eyes wide.
After The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special’s events, Mantis sits quietly in her own poster.
Nebula, played by Karen Gillan, reclines with what appears to be Saturn in the distance.
As a full-time Guardian, Kraglin receives his first character poster, presumably playing around with his whistle-controlled Yaka whistling arrow.
Cosmo, an interstellar space dog, marks the release of the first Guardians movie by dressing like the nice puppy she is and appearing eager for exploration.
Gamora, played by Zoe Saldana, is featured on her own poster, sporting a new hairstyle for the role and gazing off into the distance.
Following days of leaks before their official publication, these posters have finally surfaced.
Final Meeting with the Guardians
Character posters are nothing new for the MCU, but this particular group has a slightly melancholy air to it. This might be the final time some of these characters receive character attention.
Although Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has been announced to be the conclusion of this Guardians saga, characters like Cosmo and Kraglin might have another chance to appear on a poster like they are above, it’s unlikely that Drax or Rocket will.
As a result, these marketing materials acquire new significance. These are the posters that fans would clutch to and keep on their walls in memory of their beloved fallen heroes if characters like Dave Bautista’s Drax do pass away.
Thus, it’s fortunate that these posters look as fantastic as they do if they’re going to endure long after the movie has left theaters.
