New Guardians of the Galaxy 3 footage reveals Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock unleashing his cosmic superpowers.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may recall that in one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s five post-credits scenes, Ayesha, ruler of the Sovereign, displays a cocoon-like shelter for a creation she calls “Adam.”
Since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017, there hasn’t been any mention of Adam Warlock, but Ayesha’s purpose has always been to get retribution on the Guardians for their crimes against her people.
Will Poulter will play Adam Warlock in the third Guardians film, although he has been conspicuously absent from the film’s promotion thus far.

As he steps into the spotlight in his outfit, Adam powers up the blast:
In terms of the character’s abilities, according to the official Marvel website’s biography page for Adam Warlock, “Warlock could project blasts of cosmic energy from his hands as concussive forces.”

What Will Adam Warlock’s Role in the MCU Be?
Given that Adam Warlock has been portrayed as a superhero for the majority of his published history, it’s unlikely that his villain classification in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will stay.
In fact, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn hinted that Adam “could become a really important character” in the MCU in the future. This essentially indicates that Will Poulter’s character survives Vol. 3.
Some may argue that Adam’s entry to the franchise comes too late, given that he plays a crucial role in the book’s Infinity Gauntlet storyline. During Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has already recounted the story of Thanos and the Gauntlet.
But it’s certainly feasible that Warlock may play a significant role in one of the forthcoming Avengers movies. He’s powerful in most incarnations, so he’d be an excellent ally for the heroes when they face Kang the Conqueror.
