Another major villain may appear in the Fantastic Four reboot as Harbinger Galactus instead of the Silver Surfer, according to a recent report.
It has long been speculated that Galactus’s iconic precursor, the Silver Surfer, will be the antagonist of the upcoming remake. Also, there have been rumors that Cosmic Wanderer will either have its own spin-off or a movie that “must” come out before the reboot, meaning it will be a Fantastic Four setting.
Rumors of a Galactus casting have also surfaced online, with Antonio Banderas reportedly in talks with Marvel Studios. Therefore, fans are hoping that Silver Surfer casting discussions will start to surface soon.
Although there have been rumors recently that Galactus will appear in the upcoming reboot along with his iconic man of his, a new rumor has it that Devourer will have different saws for the movie.

The evil Galactus herald
Online leaker MyTimeToShine (MTTSH) has hinted that Terrax will play the Herald of Galactus in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Fantastic Four, replacing Silver Surfer.
In the comics, Terrax was a Landlak, formerly known as Tyros, who ruled the planet Birj and had the mutant power to manipulate Earth from a distance. These powers were amplified by Galactus’ Power Cosmic when he approached him and turned him into a herald.
One of Galactus’ most disobedient exponents, he snatched his new abilities and fled to build his kingdom before reverting to becoming the Predator. But there was another rumor from Alex Perez of the Cosmic Circus that coincided with these rumors.
Confirming that Galactus will have many advocates in Fantastic Four, Perez retweeted the MTTSH report with the words “one of them anyway,” adding that he “isn’t talking about Norrin.” This provided more evidence that Silver Surfer would not be included in the reboot.
Additionally, Perez retweeted @RoshanKamalSwa2’s tweet, which suggested the theory that “after defeating [those harelds], Galactus recruits the Silver Surfer.” It introduces the idea that after this reboot, the Cosmic Wanderer may not appear and take on the role of Galactus‘ herald.
Before this Terrax rumor surfaced, another scoop, CanWeGetSomeToast (CWGST), claimed that while “Project Silver Surfer will spin off Fantastic Four,” it won’t be in [the reboot]. “
The Silver Surfer project, as confirmed by CWGST, will be “set after the Fantastic Four” and “will not be as special as Werewolf By Night, but more of a D+ movie or show.” This may contradict Perez’s earlier claim that the Silver Surfer received a project with the stipulation that it “must” be published before rebooting, but things can always change when you’re working on a project.
Without Norrin, he would have lined up perfectly with this latest report on Terrax and the other missionaries.
What are the Galactus cards and who are they?
For the people chosen by the Predator, serving as Galactus’s herald can be a hardship or a blessing. Finding planets for Galactus to eat is the only task they are given.
These can include planets that support life but are uninhabitable, as well as those that are teeming with billions of intelligent species. Being Galactus’s messenger was an ordeal for the Silver Surfers, but for many other heralds, like Terrax, it was practically a privilege to receive such power.
Therefore, Air-Walker, Firelord, and/or Stardust would be the most likely candidates to travel with Terrax outside of Norrin, since they don’t play as big a role in the comics as other Walkers like Morg or The Fallen One, Galactus. original herald. But the fact that Marvel’s venerable villain had several heralds before Norrin is what makes it interesting.
Galactus and his four astronauts (Terrax, Air-Walker, Firelord, and Stardust) arrive to conquer Earth in the finale of The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes animated series. All of this without a single appearance or mention of Silver Surfing.
So it’s not ridiculous to imagine the MCU doing the same, although the Silver Surfer would step away from the comics if he were the herald of Galactus in the present day. Hopefully, Marvel Studios can keep the Norrin guilt at bay if that’s the case.
On February 14, 2025, the Fantastic Four movie will be released in theaters and viewers can expect to see Galactus and his thugs in action.
