What MCU fans may anticipate from the group that will guide the way in Avengers 5 in 2025 was previewed by Disney’s top executive.
As Avengers: Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga in 2019, Avengers 5 will be the group’s first full team-up. And there have already been a lot of hints as to what Earth’s Mightiest Heroes should expect from this next film.
Captain America, Shang-Chi, and Shuri’s Black Panther are reportedly three of the main characters on this team that will be facing Kang the Conqueror.
But, that crew will undoubtedly grow over the coming years, especially in light of the necessity to prepare for a significant death that is reported to be coming for one of the heroes of the Kang Dynasty.

Disney CEO Hints about Avengers 5 Team
According to Deadline, Disney CEO Bob Iger briefly highlighted what Marvel fans may expect from the Avengers in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty during the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference.
The head of Disney said how the MCU will soon feature “a lot of newnesses,” hinting at how Marvel Studios must strike a balance between bringing in fresh faces and maintaining fan favorites:
“Regarding the Marvel brand, there is nothing innately wrong. I believe the only thing we need to do is consider the storylines and characters we are using. There will be a lot of newnesses if you look at Marvel’s trend over the next five years.”
Iger spoke explicitly about Avengers 5, the upcoming film in the Avengers series, saying that “a whole new set of Avengers” will debut:
“For instance, we’re going to return to the Avengers franchise with a brand-new team of Avengers.”
Numerous Avengers team members have been teased, especially by Jeff Loveness, the film’s lead writer. He especially mentioned Letitia Wright’s Black Panther and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova when hinting that other Phase 4 and Phase 5 heroes are on his list for inclusion.
“We have Letitia Wright, Jonathan Majors, and Florence Pugh. We have such a strong pool of talented actors. Everyone will have the opportunity to excel. I can’t reveal who. When they will shine is unknown to me. Nonetheless, I believe we have a strong bench, and it’s exciting to finally include everyone in the action.
Loveness has also highlighted Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, noting that he is “eager” to pen for the Talokanil commander.
Whilst Gunn’s recent remarks about Adam Warlock’s future may be hinting that he may have a significant part on the team, it is uncertain whether members of the Guardians of the Galaxy will find themselves among the new Avengers.
When will the new Avengers team be revealed?
The tease from Bob Iger should pique interest in seeing the new Avengers take center stage in Avengers 5. Yet the key questions at this point are who will comprise that team and when they will be formally confirmed.
Phase 5 will still see the release of about a dozen new films and television programs, while Phase 6 in 2025 will see the premiere of a few more.
And while Jeff Loveness said it’s unlikely this film will include characters like Blade or the Fantastic Four, many other MCU classics are still up for consideration.
Avengers 5 might not actually enter theaters until 2025 due to all the changes taking place at Marvel Studios, but it is hoped that it will be a worthy sequel to the previous Avengers films.
