Reports suggest that the actors’ strike may postpone Deadpool 3‘s release date.
The third installment of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool trilogy began production in May and is one of the few significant movies to continue production after the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
Marvel Studios has moved the MCU movie’s release date from November 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024, an unexpected decision.
However, that release schedule may now be affected due to the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike, which brought production to a complete halt on Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 could be postponed
According to a recent report by Matt Belloni via Puck’s newsletter, Deadpool 3 could be delayed if the SAG-AFTRA strikes continue and the studios don’t reach an agreement with the artists soon.
The bulletin apparently indicated that Deadpool 3 could pause development for a month before Marvel Studios was forced to push the movie back from its original release date of May 3, 2024.
There are no chance artists and studios will reach an agreement in a month, which means Deadpool 3 will almost certainly be delayed.
As mentioned above, the movie was scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2024, before Marvel Studios pushed it back. Depending on how long the strike lasts, the next project may be pushed into that time window.

What impact will the strikes have on Marvel Studios’ release schedule?
In what seems to be a tumultuous period in the future of the entertainment industry, what will happen to the next MCU projects is quite simple: they will all be postponed.
While it’s hard to estimate how long the cast and writers’ strike will last, fans can look forward to an official announcement from Marvel Studios that Deadpool 3 has been postponed.
Other planned movies, including Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts, will also hit theaters in 2024, which will no doubt be delayed.
