Before the release of the new version on Disney +, Michael Gandolfini was first seen in the movie Daredevil: Born Again set by Marvel Studios.
With filming taking place throughout the entire second half of the year, the MCU remake of Daredevil is now in the midst of production in New York City. This will be one of the longest shootouts in the MCU so far.
Although only parts have been revealed, Gandolfini is one of more than half a dozen cast members who will play Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio in this highly anticipated series.
And now that some of the series’ action has been teased through a set of New York City footage, viewers are finally getting their first look at the former Universal Sopranos actor making his MCU debut.

In Daredevil: Born Again Set, Michael Gandolfini has been seen
Michael Gandolfini’s work for Disney+ can be seen for the first time in a set of images from Daredevil: Born Again, taken by Newswire photographer Steve Sands.
Wearing a sweatshirt, pants, and sneakers, Gandolfini was seen getting out of a New York City cab and leaning on the roof of the car. He’s said to be playing a younger version of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk or possibly Fisk’s son Charles from the comics, but these photos don’t reveal who he’ll be playing in the series.
When will the MCU character Michael Gandolfini be revealed?
Michael Gandolfini’s part will be a hot topic of discussion as the remake continues production, as there are many unanswered concerns about Marvel Studios’ first official effort at a Daredevil story.
Seeing Gandolfini have some sort of significant connection to Wilson Fisk would add a new layer of complexity to the plot, especially with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin finding new life in the series after his dramatic return in the Hawkeye series.
Given the aspects of the MCU that will be used to tie the series back into the overall plot, Gandolfini’s new role will certainly be one for fans eager to find out more.
However, the newcomer may remain a mystery for a bit longer while the series is filming, as the MCU is likely to see a lot of delays to its release schedule in the near future.
