First Information on Captain Marvel 2 The Marvels, a film from Marvel Studios, has released its first official plot synopsis, which teases an epic quest to save the universe.

Release of the First Synopsis for Captain Marvel 2
Disney released the first official synopsis for 2023’s The Marvels via a press release, as was informed to The Direct by the Twitter account @CaptMarvelBR.
The synopsis takes a look back at the pivotal moments of Captain Marvel from 2019 and describes Carol as “bearing the burden of a destabilized universe” as a result of her escape from Kree brainwashing. In the sequel, a wormhole will serve as a catalyst to bring Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan together as their respective “powers become entangled” in time to “save the universe”:
Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has exacted revenge on the Supreme Intelligence and reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree. However, unintended consequences force Carol to bear the weight of a universe in disarray. Her powers intertwine with those of Captain Monica Rambeau, Carol’s estranged niece, and Ms. Marvel, a Jersey City superfan when her duties require her to travel to an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary. To save the universe as “The Marvels,” this unlikely trio must band together and learn how to cooperate.
What Else to Look Forward to In The Marvels
This synopsis appears to be directly related to the final scene of Ms. Marvel, where Carol Danvers was forced to switch places with Kamala Khan due to Kamala’s bangle. Now that Monica Rambeau and Kamala have finally met, it seems like Carol will have to learn how to control both Monica’s and her own mutant powers in addition to those of Monica. This should make for some interesting struggles.
She also needs to repair her strained relationship with Monica Rambeau, who still holds Maria’s best friend responsible for being away from the planet when Maria passed away from cancer. Fans may discover a more skilled Monica once she makes an appearance in The Marvels because it’s still unknown where Monica is after they last saw her acquire superpowers in Westview during WandaVision.
