Prior to The Marvels‘ November premiere, Marvel Studios finally made the first footage of the film available online.
After numerous delays, the sequel starring Brie Larson has officially started its marketing campaign. The events of Captain Marvel 2 were set up in Ms. Marvel’s post-credits scene, including the revelation that Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers will don a new superhero outfit in the film.
But the MCU’s cosmic hero’s new outfit for the Disney+ series isn’t the only one he’s worn recently.

First Look at Brie Larson’s New Superhero Costume
The highly awaited MCU sequel The Marvels, starring Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel, has received its first teaser trailer, which was released by Marvel Studios.
Most significantly, at the 1:40 mark of the video, Larson’s new Captain Marvel outfit for the follow-up was seen, coupled with the first official glimpses of Parris’ and vellani’s superhero costumes in action:
A massive lightning bolt or an enlarged Hala star sign looks to be at the front of Brie Larson’s garment.
A second weapon Ronan the Accuser initially wielded in Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy is the Accuser hammer, which the cosmic Avenger is also wielding. In the trailer, Zawe Ashton’s character initially appears holding the hammer:

Why Is Carol Danvers Dressed in a New Superhero Outfit?
Brie Larson’s costume makeover in Captain Marvel 2 is pretty appropriate, as it follows an MCU history of updated looks for titular characters in sequels. In reality, in their separate sequels, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor all had distinct costumes.
The reason for Carol Danvers’ new suit is unknown, although the teaser suggests that the Avenger will wear it during the climactic fight. Furthermore, the fact that the superhero suit is a classic homage to Mar-costume Vell’s may imply that it has something to do with her Kree heritage.
The main trio can be seen reuniting in an unknown base in the trailer’s closing scene. It’s probable that this is where Carol discovers her new superhero suit, leading to the last battle of the movie.
The new trailer for The Marvels revealed the fascinating switcheroo plot of the three main heroes as their powers become entwined in the sequel. It also gave us our first look at Park Soo-MCU Joon’s character and Zawe Ashton’s frightening antagonist.
