A recent update to Spider-Man 4 hinted at Zendaya’s major role in the upcoming sequel.
While there isn’t much official information available about Tom Holland’s upcoming outing, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that a fourth Spider-Man movie is in the works. He even said that “the [Marvel Studios] writers are putting pen to paper now.”
Deadline previously reported that the company hopes to work with Holland and Zendaya again, as well as Jon Watts.
While some people believe that MJ will continue to play a secondary role in the future of Peter’s universe, some recent evidence seems to suggest otherwise.

Zendaya’s Spider-Man 4 Status Update
Big Screen Leaks (BSL) discussed the status of Spider-Man 4 and the studio’s relationship with key artists.
When asked about the film’s absence from CinemaCon, BSL said it was “not far enough along to warrant [its] showing:”
According to the source, “Tom, Zendaya and Jon Watts are back.”
The film’s script is still in development, according to BSL, and the producers are “figuring out how to deal with Tom and Zendaya’s busy schedules.”
Since Holland is the main star, it goes without saying that Sony and Marvel should prioritize working around his agenda. However, if Zendaya gets the same attention as MJ, MJ could play a big role in what happens in the fourth movie.

Industry insider Jeff Schneider previously claimed to have heard that Holland has signed on for another trilogy of films. So fans should expect more from the popular Spider-Man actor.
But who will face the boss of the web? According to The Cosmic Circus, the Kingpin will play a major role in the movie.
The other villain fans are hoping to see show up is Michael Mando’s Scorpion, who remains an embarrassing point in Spider-Man: Homecoming’s overt plot.
Spider-Man 4 currently doesn’t have a release window, but fans should expect the movie to be released in 2024 or 2025.
