A recent update suggests that Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the upcoming MCU Disney+ series, will premiere on the streaming service.
Following its name change announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Coven of Chaos is scheduled to launch on Disney+ in late 2023. However, it joined a long line of MCU projects to experience multiple delays.
Plus, since WandaVision will serve as a direct spinoff to one of the MCU’s most popular Disney+ episodes to date, viewers already have plenty of interest in Kathryn Hahn’s solo series to see how that story unfolds.

When Is Agatha: Coven of Chaos Set to Debut?
According to Variety, Marvel Studios plans to release Agatha: Coven of Chaos on Disney+ in 2024.
The most likely scenario at this point is that it will air after Dominic Thorne’s Ironheart, which was initially scheduled to air in the release order of Coven of Chaos.
This comes at a time when many MCU projects are experiencing significant delays as a result of the ongoing writers’ strike by the Writers Guild of America, which has already delayed production on three separate entries.
Fortunately, set photos posted on social media showed that the series, which began shooting in December 2022, wrapped up its initial shooting phase in early June. This means it should be ready for either a spring or summer 2024 release date, based on early reshoots.
Agatha expected release date, will it happen?
The project appears to have overcome most of the problems caused by the writers’ strike, basing Agatha’s position on Marvel Studios’ many delays.
Fans will be happy to know that Agatha Harkness‘ solo series hasn’t suffered from the constant delays that have plagued the rest of the MCU, given how popular she became after her lead role in WandaVision.
The entire nine episodes will focus on the main character as she returns to Westview, New Jersey, and will have a lot of stories to tackle as the heroine tries to break Wanda’s control and rediscover her old self.
Hopefully, this new release date update will stick, especially in light of the upcoming A-list cast starring in the terrifying new MCU adventure.
