According to a recent rumor, Adam Driver is in talks with Marvel Studios about an upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
Earth-838’s Mr. Fantastic was played by John Krasinski in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but casting rumors suggested a different name for the character.
Adam Driver, a former Disney employee, and Oscar-nominated actor is a name that has been brought up for a long time in the discussion. A new report has now given us an update on Marvel Studios’ plans for the Hero Wars trilogy.

Adam Driver: Is that Mr. Fantastic?
Adam Driver is said to be in final negotiations to play Reed Richards in the MCU’s Fantastic Four, according to Scooper Daniel Richman.
This confirms other speculations that the married actor was a candidate for the role of Mr. Fantastic, the highly intelligent founding member of the superhero team with far-reaching abilities.
The fact that Driver is apparently “in final talks” indicates that he is the favorite to play the Fantastic Four hero, even though other actors like Penn Badgley and Endore’s Diego Luna have also been mentioned in the rumors.
When can you expect the Fantastic Four team-up to be confirmed?
Marvel Studios reportedly fast-tracked the casting process for the Fantastic Four in February.
However, a later source confirmed that the casting process, which was “extensive” and included Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, would take some time.
Driver may be in final discussions to play Reed Richards if the idea of him being Marvel’s favorite pick is correct.
The remaining members of Marvel’s first family are still being cast, so it’s unclear how far this has gone and when the full cast will be announced.
Adam Driver or another cast member may be confirmed in the coming days or weeks, but Marvel Studios may prefer to postpone this long-awaited cast reveal until July at San Diego Comic-Con.
Fantastic Four will be shown in theaters on February 14, 2025.
