Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the most popular PlayStation games, and a new trailer for Spider-Man 2 has seemingly appeared online ahead of its release.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which was released in late 2020 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Both games were hugely successful, with the original Spider-Man game selling over 33 million copies (as of May 2022).
Miles Morales had a similar impact, helping the PlayStation 5 launch successfully despite shortages in next-generation console production.
However, a new trailer has emerged, heightening the anticipation for the next installment in this fan-favorite PlayStation franchise and indicating a release date of later this year.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 Trailer Has Been Found
A new trailer for Spider-Man 2, the highly anticipated PS5 title, has surfaced online. It appears to be official, having aired on ESPN sometime Sunday, but it has yet to appear on legitimate Sony or PlayStation channels.
The footage was shown in Australia and indicates a “Spring 2023” release. Because the Southern Hemisphere (where Australia is located) experiences spring from September to November, it appears that the game will be released in the latter half of 2023.
A live-action fictionalized new broadcast with a brief glimpse of Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ Spider-Men is featured in the sneak peek.

A Story About Two Spiders
While the original Spider-Man allowed you to play as Miles Morales, it was before he gained his wall-crawling abilities. It took until 2020 for players to be able to swing around New York as the iconic Brooklyn hero.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a shorter entry in the franchise and a sequel to the original game when it was released in late 2020 for the PlayStation 5. Miles became New York’s new Spider-Man, and Peter Parker took a back seat.
Spider-Man 2 appears to allow players to swing around New York as Peter Parker and his protege, using either of their special abilities.
Miles’ bio-electricity, as players will know, makes him a powerful force because he can store a large amount of energy and release it at will, and he will undoubtedly complement Peter’s years of battlefield experience.
It will also be great to see the pair interact outside of the first two games.
Sony is undoubtedly preparing a marketing push with this new trailer. Fans will be in for a treat if the game is anything like its predecessors, and it will be one to watch at the 2023 Game Awards.
Spider-Man 2 will reportedly be released in late 2023.
